We were all very excited when we finally landed in Rome after the plane ride. Grateful to finally be moving around again we claimed our luggage and made or way to the hotel.

After a quick breakfast we got our first chance to see some of the city. We learned how the bus system worked and got to take in a few sites, such as a quick visit to the Pantheon, and to a plaza filled with some beautiful fountains, and many various street performers. Just walking to these places was a new experience in itself. Traffic seems to flow here following very few rules, and the little cobblestone side streets were beautiful lined with many cute, little shops. After this small first adventure we were finally able to go back to the hotel and check into our rooms and rest for a while. We had a short class then were able to rest more before venturing off to find our first Italian dinner!
