Travel day

Today is a hard day to describe, filled with excitement to fear, exhaustion to peeled over laughs, the moments today have been uncountable. Gathering together early in the morning was filled with hand shakes, questions on Christmas and worried parents saying their goodbyes and sizing up Carl to make sure he brings their children home safe; of course in his fashion he filled them good vibes and clever jokes leaving what seemed to me to be each parent at ease as we went through TSA.

Then came the long wait at the gate for our first flight--between trivia and hangman the time passed well; however, a few naps helped too.

The plane was uneventful, with fun giggles &silly jokes, and then we were in PA.

Now it became a long march to get everyone who was hungry and tired to a gate on the other side of the airport, check in with passports and do last checks before boarding, which we handled in stride and with smiles because this was the big flight, the 8+ hours.  And then we were there. The walk to the plane for me was rather over whelming, for me this trip is very much outside my comfort zone; but I try to do things that scare me, so as I boarded I patted the plane for good luck and bid farewell to the USA.  The adventure was about to begin.
